Stage Mom Society, LLC ("SMS," "we," "us," or "our") provides community resources and paid support services for parents, guardians, and caregivers of children working professionally in theater, film, television, commercials, and modeling. Our services include self-tape sessions, set guardian coordination, audition and callback accompaniment, callback preparation, and social media support (collectively, the "Services").
By using stagemomsociety.com (the "Site"), joining our waitlist, applying to The Holding Room, or booking a Service, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms").
Stage Mom Society, LLC is a New York–based community and services venture for working parents of child performers.
Our Services are intended for parents, legal guardians, and other adult caregivers acting on behalf of a minor. You must be at least 18 years old and have legal authority over the child on whose behalf you engage our Services to use SMS.
Children do not directly register for, apply to, or use the Site. All bookings, applications, and communications must be made by a parent or legal guardian.
The Holding Room is our members-only community for parents, guardians, and caregivers of working child performers. Membership is not automatic:
Set guardians are personally referred by Sheana Klasfeld, undergo a background check, and receive training on regulations governing the employment of minors before being booked. Guardians are required to remain within sight and sound of your child for the full duration of the booking.
When you book a set guardian, you are engaging an independent contractor — not an SMS employee — to accompany, supervise, or transport your child in connection with a professional engagement. By booking this Service, you:
These Services involve working directly with your child (in a self-tape or coaching context) or on your family's behalf (social media support). By booking, you consent to your child's participation and confirm you are authorized to do so.
A parent or legal guardian must be present for the full duration of any live session involving direct interaction with your child (including but not limited to self-tape sessions and callback prep conducted over Zoom or similar platforms). We do not conduct live one-on-one sessions with a child in the absence of a parent or guardian. If a parent or guardian cannot be present, the session will be rescheduled.
SMS is not a talent agency, management company, or casting service. We do not procure auditions, negotiate contracts, or act as a submission service. Nothing in our Services should be construed as representation.
Set guardians, self-tape coaches, and other individuals who perform Services through SMS are independent contractors, not employees or agents of SMS, unless otherwise stated in writing. SMS is not liable for the independent acts or omissions of a contractor beyond its own negligence in selection and coordination, to the extent permitted by law.
Participation in the entertainment industry, including auditions, sets, and travel to and from them, carries inherent risks. To the fullest extent permitted by law:
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SMS, its founder, and any contractors performing Services, from claims arising out of your breach of these Terms or misrepresentation of your authority over the child in your care.
Information shared with SMS or a contracted guardian/coach for the purpose of delivering a Service should be treated as confidential by all parties and used only for the purpose of that booking.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site or Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
